Updated Sept. 30, 2026

This plan uses 7 days at the destination. Arrive before the first full day when possible; if your flights use part of a day, shorten the sightseeing instead of compressing every stop.

Use the order below as a starting point, then adjust it to opening days, weather and the reservations you can actually secure. Keep nearby experiences together and leave time for meals and the journey between stops.

Day 1: Santa Monica And The Ocean

Morning: Start with the beach, pier and a manageable coastal walk. Enjoy the view and pause for breakfast or coffee rather than rushing between beaches.

Afternoon And Evening: Have lunch locally and leave time for the sand or shops. If staying inland, check the return journey before adding an evening reservation.

Day 2: Hollywood And Griffith Observatory

Morning: Visit a small selection of Hollywood landmarks or choose a booked studio tour. Allow time to move between the actual tour location and your next stop.

Afternoon And Evening: Head to Griffith Observatory when its schedule and weather suit your plans. Check transport and return arrangements, then keep dinner nearby or close to the hotel.

Day 3: Art At The Getty Center

Morning: Reserve the Getty Center and spend the morning with a selection of galleries. Include the architecture and gardens as part of the visit.

Afternoon And Evening: Stay on the Westside for lunch and a relaxed afternoon. Do not add Downtown solely because it looks close on a regional map.

Day 4: Downtown Culture

Morning: Book The Broad or another collection that interests you. Pair it with nearby architecture and a simple lunch.

Afternoon And Evening: If a performance is part of your trip, keep the afternoon calm and remain in the area. Otherwise return to your hotel before peak travel becomes a burden.

Day 5: A Full Entertainment Day

Morning: Give Universal Studios Hollywood or another major ticketed experience a full day if it matters to your group. Check the correct ticket and any height or age restrictions.

Afternoon And Evening: Take breaks and avoid a distant dinner reservation immediately after the attraction. For a lower-key trip, substitute a neighborhood day.

Day 6: A Different Side Of Los Angeles

Morning: Choose a food-focused neighborhood or another coastal area. Keep the outing to one part of the region and enjoy time away from the landmark list.

Afternoon And Evening: Use the afternoon for shops, galleries or the hotel pool. Confirm road and weather conditions before adding a hillside walk.

Day 7: A Nearby Final Morning

Morning: Return to a favorite café or take a short walk near your base. Pack and confirm the location and timing of any rental-car return.

Afternoon And Evening: Leave a generous airport buffer. A journey to LAX and one to BUR are different plans, so use your actual ticket and current traffic conditions.

If you are leaving today, choose one nearby priority and leave the remaining time for packing, transport and the airport. If departure is tomorrow, enjoy the full day at the pace outlined above.
