Visiting Punta Cana from Austin will become easier when Southwest Airlines launches twice-weekly nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) on June 3, 2027.
Southwest and Austin-Bergstrom International Airport announced the new route on October 2, 2026. Flights are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays through August 2, 2027, making this a seasonal summer service rather than a year-round route. Tickets were placed on sale with the announcement.
